Where is our John the Baptist??

About 6 years ago, I remember how I felt when I watched a documentary on the History Channel about the bible and science. Normally in a documentary like this, you would expect them to debunk the bible with science, but instead they showed how the prophecy of the Bible could be 100% back by science.

I was in aw, I was frightened, I was excited and I was relieved. I remember feeling like I was going to jump out of my skin with joy because Jesus was coming back and he was coming soon. I wanted to go to the roof of my home and run through the streets yelling in excitement, "That Jesus Is Coming." I knew it wouldn't be that day but for some reason it felt closer and more real then ever.

I kept hearing in my mind the verse about John the Baptist when he was baptizing people before Jesus came to him..  I thought to myself, where is the urgency? Why are people not seeing what is going on and how close we are to the second coming of Jesus Christ? Why are people not repenting and making their paths straight?

Matthew 3: 1-3

1. In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

2. And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Remember that this was at least 6 years ago and there was nothing going on then, compared to what has been going on over the last 3 1/2 years. Lets do a little recap on the last 3 years..

Click on any of the highlighted words to be linked to information pertaining to that thought.

Mass animal die offs in astronomical numbersconsistence earth quakes world wide, abortions rise to the millions yearly, Arab Spring, Muslim Brotherhood, the bringing down of Middle Eastern Leaders to replace with Muslim Brotherhood Leaders, The imprisonment of Christians, The beheading and crucifixion of Christians, The rise of ISIS, ISIS killing Christians, Constant attacks on Israel, wars, rumor of wars, civil unrest world wide, rivers, lakes and seas turning blood red,  droughts, world wide food shortage, rise of disease, Ebola, economic uncertainty, immorality soars, institution of Marriage changed..

I could go on and on and honestly the list above does not even come close to touching all the craziness of the last 3 years.. But I must ask again.. Where is the urgency to get people saved? Why are we not sharing this with our friends and families? Where is our John the Baptist?

We need a revival, especially now in these days of uncertainty.. We honestly can not say that this is going to end well.. We are on the verge or in the beginning of world war 3, without a doubt. Everything we new as moral and right is not bigotry and wrong. Everything we new as wrong is now acceptable and right.

Please pray for America, the world and our Leaders. We are on the brink of disaster and most people are blinded and enjoying the ride.

Repent and make your paths straight.. For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.. NO JOKE

Salvation.. What are you waiting for??

What is salvation? The 1828 Noah's dictionary defines salvation as:
1. The act of saving; preservation from destruction, danger or great calamity
2.Appropriately in theology, the redemtion of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him everlasting happiness. This is the great salvation.

The Hebrew Lexicon Strong's Concordance definition of Slavation as:
1. Salvation, deliverance
a. welfare, prosperity
b. deliverance
c. salvation (by God)
d. victory

There are three very important words here in both definitions, REDEMTION, DELIVERANCE, & VICTORY..

Through Jesus we are REDEEMED, we are DELIVERED and we have VICTORY.
To be REDEEMED means we are repurchased by Jesus with the payment of his life, his blood, our sins were paid for by him so that we can have life after death eternally with him. Because we are redeemed we are now DELIVERED from the bondage of sin and we have VICTORY through Jesus Christ.

How do we obtain salvation? We obtain it only through the admission of sin, acknowledging that we need Jesus to forgive us of our sins, knowing that he died for our sin, that he rose from the dead, conquered death and is coming back again.

The number one excuse for not accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior is this: I'm just not ready! When I stop sinning, I will start thinking about it.

My answer to that is this:
James 4:14

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Life is too short to wait until tomorrow, we are not promised tomorrow and if we continue to wait till we are good enough to be in the presence of Jesus, then we will be waiting forever. None of us are worthy, good enough, perfect or acceptable. But because he loves us, he wants us as we are. The sinners that we are and through him we are cleansed and made a new creature.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are not capable as humans to achieve this on our own. We are human, and because we are, we need the supernatural power of Jesus Christ to make us new creatures, once we come to Jesus the Holy Spirit will work in our lives and in our hearts to transform us.

If you never picked up a book on automobiles, would you know how to fix one? No, you wouldn't. You would need to be taught, you would need to study and practice. The same goes with becoming a Christian. We don't wake up one morning and decide to become Christ like and expect to know everything without a teacher, without the word and without practice.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Bible is the living word of God. He gave it to us so that we could know him, so we could learn, so that we could have a personal relationship with him and so that we could have salvation and eternal life through his son Jesus Christ.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:28

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

God has given us the greatest gift of all and all we have to do is accept it. That's it!  Accept it! He sent his son to die on a cross at Calvary, in our place so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Perish means: (To Literally depart Wholly) To die
Strong's Concordance: To destroy, to be lost, to be ruined, to be killed, to give over to eternal misery in hell

You do not have to perish, you do not have to die and you can have life after death. Death to most seems final,

Eternal Life means, once you have died here on earth, you will pass from death unto life in heaven. If you are to Perish, you suffer a second death. A death of your soul as well as the death of your body. Once you perish you spend eternity in hell.

The simple truth is this: If I am wrong about Jesus and there is nothing after this life, then I have absolutely nothing to lose. But if you are wrong and what I am telling you is truth, then you have everything to lose.

The second coming of Jesus Christ is knocking at the door.. Please don't waist another second trying to fix what you think is wrong, before asking Jesus into your heart. Instead of fixing your sin problem yourself, let God do it for you... Please accept Jesus into your heart, accept his free gift of eternal life.

I love you and want to meet you in heaven..

Please pray this simple prayer and start your relationship with Jesus today..

Dearest Heavenly Father in Heaven,
I come to you in the name of Jesus, I acknowledge to you that I am a sinner and I am sorry for the sins I have committed and for the sinful life I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe with all my heart that you are the one and only begotton son "Jesus Christ" and that you shed your precious blood on the cross at Calvary so that I could be forgiven. You took my place on that cross and I am now ready to turn away from my sin and follow you.
You said in your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now, I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I know that he was rose from the dead and according to your Word, I am now saved.
Thank you Jesus for taking my place, thank you Jesus for your unfailing love, thank you Jesus for forgiving me of my sin and thank you Jesus for writing my name in the Lambs book of Life. I am saved because you died for me and today I ask that you transform my life so that I may bring glory to you alone and not myself.
In Jesus' precious name I pray.
Amen

This is just a sample prayer that you can use.. If you have come across this post and have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and you are in need of a Bible because you can not afford one. Please leave a comment or a private message and I will try my best to get you one.

May God Bless you..

Make me Broken

I just recently watched a video that convicted my heart. It made me realize how much I depend on myself and not on God. I think about him every minute of everyday but is that enough? When I am in trouble, I think about going to God with my problems..Why don't I? I'm not sure, but could it be that I will find myself more vulnerable then I want to be? Would I find myself weak? Would I cry if I let go of all the hurt that keeps me going?

Its strange how for some people pain is a weakness that causes them to fall into addiction of many kinds, or for some the opposite, it can cause someone to hold on to the pain to keep them pushing forward. But is the pain that causes us to prevail worth holding onto if it causes you to be bitter and angry? Is the pain worth drowning out with addiction? Is it okay to let go and let God? What would be the downfall in that?

I ask myself all the time, why I dwell inside my own mind on the things that are out of my control. I'm really good at ignoring what I don't want to know the answer to and even if I know the answer I can easily set it aside so its not visual.

When I envision myself letting go and submitting completely to God, I see my self falling to my knees and becoming a sobbing baby. I can already feel what that would feel like in my gut, so the unknown is not the problem. If I submit completely to God then I have to let go of what I believe keeps me going. I have to let go of my sin and admit to all of it. I would have to become so vulnerable that it would seem uncomfortable.

I can see myself at the foot of the cross begging for Jesus to forgive me as his blood spills over me. I can see the sadness, pain and fear in his eyes as he dies on the cross for me. He knew that I was there at his feet watching him take his last breath before he even agreed to die for me. He carried the cross to Calvary as my sins hung from his garments every step of the way. I stood there standing over him begging them to stop as they nailed his hands and feet to the cross and through every striking blow, he never lost eye contact with me. I was there looking at him as he hung from the cross, struggling to breath and dripping sinless blood from every wound. I could see the the fear in his eyes when he asked his father, "Why have your forsaken me?" and when I heard him sputter these words, I cried out.. "Because of ME!" "Because of ME!"

He then looked down from that bloody cross with tears in his eyes, trembling lips and an aching heart and said, " Forgive them, for they know not what they do.." never once taking his eyes off me.

Yes, I was there and I relive that moment every time I put a cigarette to my mouth, Let a curse words slip, cant find the time to read my bible, or find the time to pray, drive past someone asking for help, buy something in vain, judge another person, assume to know more then I do, when I lie, want more then I need, forget to seize the moment to tell someone about him. I have many more sins I can list and probably way more then I want to admit but when I think about "Jesus" taking that place on the cross instead of me.. I think what time I have wasted, holding on to what makes me strong. Avoiding what cant be avoided and forgetting to put God first in everything I do.

Dear God,
Make be broken. Make me to see your children, my sisters and brothers through your eyes. Please break my heart for what breaks yours. Please show me your will for my life, that I can be a blessing to someone else every day. Please help me to share your word, your gospel, your story with those who need you the way I do. Even as a proclaimed christian, I am always on the edge and without you I would fall off. Please God save your people and if you can use me to do so.

Even as a Christian I need to you to guide me because my flesh is week and I am easily swayed to sin. I know that I am no better then anyone else and I want to be reminded of that daily. I pray heavenly father that each and every day you fill me with the spirit and help me to reclaim the joy I have when I am walking with you. I long to see your face, to hear your voice and to feel your embrace. I know one day weather it be in death or your return, I will get to but I ask that you remind me every day how much I need you.

Please help me to see the error in my ways and to stop relying on myself and instead seek you for the answers. I pray that you pull me towards you when I walk away and that you carry me when I'm no longer strong enough to walk on my own.

I love you so much Heavenly father and I know that each breath, every second of everyday is a gift from you and I pray that who ever reads this will see that too.

Thank you for my salvation, thank you for writing my name in the Book of Life, thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for me, even though it should have been me. Thank you for every person you have placed in my life and I pray that I can be what you need me to be for those who need you now.
In Jesus' precious name I pray..
Amen
